What to Bring

The PACKING GUIDE

  • Mountain Layers (Daytime)

June in Grindelwald: 65–75°F in the valley, 50°s at night.

    • Clothing

Moisture-wicking tops, fleece or light down jacket, windproof shell, hiking trousers or jeans, and leggings.

    • Footwear

Sturdy walking shoes or light hiking boots for the trails. Trainers are fine for the Cliff Walk.

    • Accessories

Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and a small daypack.

  • Evening & Dinners

    • Smart casual

For relaxed dinners — jeans and a nice top, or a simple dress. Evenings cool to 55–60°F, bring a light jacket or cardigan.

    • Rehearsal dinner

Elevated cocktail attire on an outdoor patio. Ladies: dresses or pantsuits. Gentlemen: white collar or dinner jacket. Bring a wrap or jacket.

  • Wedding Day

    • Ceremony & reception

Cocktail / formal. Heels are fine for the reception, but wear flats for the gondola and mountain top ceremony. Bring a wrap or jacket for high elevation mountain temperatures.

    • Dance party

Whatever lets you move — a second pair of shoes is a good idea.

  • Cozy Chalet

    • Loungewear

Cozy clothes for evenings by the fire at the chalet.
